A nice early winter evening...

Well, the fires going, the soup is cooking and we are getting ready for an evening in front of the TV. Just wanted to post a picture of Henndorf this evening.......

Aisha the Super Dog!

Well yesterday was the big test - Aisha did her Obiedence Course Test (Level 1). Richard and Aisha have been working night and day, well more likely every now and then, on her obiendence at the dog school in Auhof (www.hundesportverein.at) and yesterday was the big test. And she sailed through, althought the judge was very rude about her nature and lack of disciplined handler (namely Richard), but we were very proud of her anyway.

We had a nice day with the other dog handlers and were really impressed with what some of the dogs could do. We hope, of course, that Aisha will one day be good enough to look like a distant relation of them, however Richard isn't holding his breath :)

As a special treat, we took her to the Obertrum street (christmas) festival were we met up with Leo and Gitte and the rest of the Müller family. It was great, we drank far too much Gluwein (well Richard did) and afterwards we drove back to the Müllers for a lovely evening meal! It was enjoyed all! And in the meantime it continued to snow.....

This means that Henndorf currently has about 40 cm snow already. Fantastic. Richard and Aisha found out to their horror this morning that running through 40 cm powder snow is not easy. Richard returned completely shattered, Aisha was begging for a second round :) She is far too fit at the moment.....

Run today

Well, back from my run with Christian. It was great, piles of snow, peaceful, quite (until we came along that is :) ) We did some hill training and Aisha did some deer chasing - all in all a great run. Tomorrow is rest day....

This is a picture of the city of Salzburg in summer, taken by Edith! At the moment everything is covered in snow and the sky is unfortunatelly not as blue. As we love winter, we don't really mind about the snow and the cold weather - except for cleaning the car off snow and ice every morning :-).
